Asporelix 0.25mg Injection belongs to the class of drugs called hormones used to treat female infertility in women. Infertility is unable to become pregnant after trying for a year. Female infertility may be caused due to different factors affecting ovulation (release of an egg from the ovary), fertilization (fusion of sperm and egg), and implantation (fertilized egg attaches to uterus lining).
If eggs are released too early during fertility treatment, they may not be suitable for fertilization. Asporelix 0.25mg Injection contains Cetrorelix, an anti-gonadotropin-releasing hormone that works by blocking a natural hormone in the body. Thereby, it inhibits premature ovulation (the release of eggs from the ovary too early).
